Let me just cut to the chase: its weird how characters like Haley continue to wear the same clothes regardless of the weather. she wears a tank top in the middle of winter.
It also feels weird that no one is wearing costumes during spirit's eve.
The farmer gets to wear unique clothing based on the season, why not villagers? it would be way fun and really add onto the characters personalty and improve immersion!
I normally would just download the seasonal outfits mod, but the creator of that mod has been MIA for 2 years now, and I think a vanilla version of this would really enhance the game.
you could even make it so their "original" look is their spring outfits to keep their iconic design!
