Switch v1.6.15 build 11, Online Co-op issues since new update. (Error Code: 2318-0007)

Today, when I launched Stardew Valley, I was prompted for a new update, which I updated to. Since this new update, it seems that I've been having issues playing online. I've been playing online for the past couple months. Never seemed to have any issues before. Since this latest update, the online completely doesn't work at all. I've tried pretty much all basic troubleshooting steps before posting this issue. I can't seem to find this error code online. I restarted my router. I have UPnP enabled. NAT is type B on switch. I don't seem to be having any issues with any other games online.

I can replicate this issue on my fiance's switch as well. Tried it on a Switch OLED model and Switch 2. Same error code.

Hello, myself and several friends are having this exact same issue since updating the game this morning. Our switches are up to date and everything else runs fine. Hoping this is fixed soon as we all had plans to play on this holiday.

Can confirm this is an issue with Online. Local Play seems to be affected, but not for older farms.

The reddit poster also tried some things I would have done as well (delete, restore, reset firewalls)

poor planning to release an update near the holidays.

My wife is getting a Switch 2 for Christmas. We will try Coop on hers since she is the original host of the farm.

My Online Play group has also been having issues since the update. It's a bummer to have it go down on one of my only days off work. Hopefully they can get it repaired soon!

Same exact issue over here! We tried all of the things that everyone else has listed as well, no results. It's kind of nice to know that it wasn't something on our end. Kind of a bad idea to update on a major holiday, here's hoping they're able to fix it soon!

  • Platform: Nintendo Switch (OLED model)
  • Game version: Stardew Valley 1.6.15.11
  • Switch system version: 21.1.0
  • Modded?: No (Non-modded)
  • Language: Japanese
  • Multiplayer: Online co-op (remote friend)
  • Issue: Online co-op fails to connect. Error code 2318-0007 (sometimes also saw 2321-0768). Local co-op host works, but online does not.
  • Repro steps:
    1. Launch Stardew Valley
    2. Select Co-op → Online
    3. Try to host or join friend
    4. Error occurs
  • Troubleshooting tried:
    1. eShop connection OK
    2. NAT Type B on home Wi-Fi
    3. Tested phone tethering (NAT Type A) → still fails
    4. Friend also tried hosting → same result
    5. Restarted Switch / router (if you did)
    6. (Optional) Re-downloaded game / archived & re-download (if you do later)
This started after the Dec 25, 2025 update to 1.6.15.11
