Updating on a Mac

When I get a list of mods to update, I delete the previous version and install from Nexus what is supposed to be the new version. I do not overwrite, but when I launch the game, it tells me I still have the previous version and still need to update. What am I doing wrong?

Do delete and manually download all mods then add them to your mod folder? As a mac mod player myself, that is the tried and true way i've been doing it.

Yes thats what I do but it still shows in terminal or the log parser that I have the old versions and wants me to update. in otherwords, I don't overwrite.

which mods are showing as being "old"? is there a possibility that the mod was actually updated again shortly after you downloaded the new version? it's happened to me a couple of times where i downloaded one that was updated again right afterwards...
