They have detected what was causing the issue and are communicating with GOG to get it resolved!

There is an update out today that is supposed to fix the macOS multiplayer bug. I've downloaded it but haven't tried multiplayer yet myself.

Curious whether anyone else has seen this bug in single player? I've had my game crash a few times with the MacBook Air M1 chip.

Sadly it seems like this was a completely unrelated bug to the M1 crashes -- this was an issue where Mac players were unable to get invite codes.
