Underrated parts about Stardew Valley?

Confused

Farmer
Is there anything about Stardew that you think is underrated?

Like a certain crop? Or game strategy? Or an underrated NPC? Any weapons or clothing pieces that you think are underrated? Literally anything.

I think the windy spring and fall days of Stardew Valley are underrated. They're so beautiful I could cry. And when the game music starts playing? And it's windy with petals or leaves flying everywhere?? Cinema. ;-; :leaf:

believe it or not, my favorite 1.6 change might be being able to make our own vinegar now. It's such a little thing but it didn't sit well with me that it was the only one of the cooking components you didn't have a way to produce yourself.

slightly behind that is Jodi now being full of gossipy commentary on just about everything your farmer does to affect the game world, like a proper Villager NPC any RPG would be proud of. She might be the villager most improved by the update.

as for stuff that predates 1.6, I have enjoyed the Help Wanted board since I started playing the game always try to complete every quest it gives out.

Local Legend
I think there are a load of things that are underrated in the game, but the biggest one/s is just the massive amount of QOL that's been added in nearly 10 years of development. Most people didn't start playing in 1.0, but that version was an utter mess compared to what we have now, with bugs left and right and random issues that made playing much slower than what people take for granted nowadays.

Slime hutches. You can press the slime into slime eggs, and either hatch them for color mixing or sell them for a good bit of money.
Also, Legendary fish ponds with the roe aged. The Angler, Glacierfish, and Mutant Carp already give a lot of money, but the Crimsonfish and the Legend are absurd. Once you get to the Walnut room, you can make more ponds with the extended family legendaries, adding to the ridiculous amounts of money.
