iOS Unable to pick up empty crab pots.

The save file was created in 1.5 and crab pots were placed around the west dock at the beach. The raccoons want snails and I cannot remove the pots to relocate them.

I have a very similar issue. I have crab pots stranded on land after updating and I can’t remove them. They’re at the mountain lake and at the river close to the bookseller.
One of them blocks my access to the little wooden bridge.

I also have trouble picking up other items through long-pressing like the wallpaper/floor- catalogue and the modern fish tank, so this might be a similar issue as well. (?)

I warned people on Threads to remove crabpots if they want to update & use old safefiles. I will do this for the Apple Arcade as well.

I was able to remove a few of the crabpots, but several are still stranded.

I still have a problem to pick up long-press items with menus, like the catalogues and fishtanks too.

I also cannot pick up crab pots. This is new - did not happen in Stardew 1.5 for iOS.

I haven’t had crab pots on land, but haven’t been able to pick them up in 1.6 through usual methods. Here’s a workaround though:

I use tap-to-move usually, but have had to switch to joystick & buttons to pick up crab pots in 1.6 — and sometimes it takes multiple button clicks. Didn’t have this issue in 1.5.

In 1.5, I had to do this switch for a few other things — access to Lewis’s gold statue and paying for Willie’s boat, in particular.

On my new farms since the 1.6 update, I can remove about 2 out of 3 pots. I have not checked my older farms.

I just updated to the newest game and have IOS 18.2. It’s still very hard to pick up crabpots. Got most of the stranded ones out though.

On a good note: I wanted to report a museum bug, only to find out it’s now fixed.

The bug is still there. I’m playing on 13 pro max and I can’t pick up my crab pots even after multiple clicks.

Edit: It worked with a sprinkler too, so maybe anything that makes the grid marks appear will work.

I did some additional testing based on the campfire/ sprinkler workaround.
I found that I can also pick up the empty crab pot while holding many other placeable items, including sprinklers, auto-grabbers, bait makers, chests, heaters, flamingos, rarecrows, owl statues, paths, floors, signs, stairs, stepping stone paths, and stone boxes.
However, Cobblestone Path was the only item I tested that did NOT allow me to pick up the crab pot.
This makes me wonder if Cobblestone Path is handled differently from other placeable items.

I've found switching from "Tap-to-move and Auto-Attack" to "Joystick and Buttons" in the settings works. It's annoying but works.
