Trouble accessing new mobile updates

Hi all! This is probably a dumb question but I have bee waiting for sooo long to do the 1.5 update on my phone- I’ve updated my app on IOS and I can’t figure out how to access the new Ginger Island and everything else. I’ve even tried starting a new farm. If anyone can help me I would so appreciate it!! Thanks

You need to have completed either the community center or the Joja warehouse to access the island.

On a new save file, you should at least have the option to pick a new farm type - the beach farm.

It's worth mentioning that the update will work with existing saves, so if you have completed the community center on one, you can keep playing on that save and get to Ginger Island a lot sooner. After you've completed the community center (or Joja warehouse), stop by Willy's shop on the docks.
