The Trash challenge

Basic rules :
- The only items you can sell directly to shops or put in the shipping bin (check the special rules section for shipping achievements) are items you directly got from trash cans in Pelican Town and items you collect from recycling machines.
- For everything else you will need to upgrade your trash can at Clint's to make money.

Special rules:

Questing :
- Automatically triggered quests and mail quests are allowed.
- Help wanted quests are only allowed up to a total of 40 (for Gofer and A big help achievements).
- Special order board quests are allowed, but each of them can only be done once.

For those who want to make the early game harder, you have 2 options :
- Don't collect money from quests.
- Lock the ability to do quests behind a specific goal like CC completion, reaching floor 100 of the skull cavern or reaching the forge.

Shipping achievements :
- Even after unlocking the ability to ship an item, you are only allowed to ship the amount required for the achievement (see details below for each achievement).
To help you track this I would suggest using the "Lookup Anything" mod. You can find this mod here https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/541

- Full shipment : to unlock the ability to ship an item you first need to trash a 99 stack of the item you want to ship.
- Polyculture : to unlock the ability to ship 15 of an item you first need to trash a 500 stack of the item you want to ship.
- Monoculture : to unlock the ability to ship 300 of an item you first need to trash a full stack (999) of the item you want to ship.

Bonus difficulty setting :
For those who think this is not challenging enough, or simply love the struggle. You can set the profit margin to 75%, 50% or even 25%.

I'm still pretty new to Stardew Valley so I might have forgot or overlooked some things that should be in the rules. Feel free to point those out to me.
Any suggestion for additional rules are welcome.

Wow that sounds hard,I wonder if that is possible,it is but...that would take ages, like how would I trash a 500 stack of ostrich eggs... although that is a very amazing idea, I might try it...see how far I can get

It would only be 99 for ostrich eggs (I know it's still a lot but more manageable).
The late game items are the reason why I chose to differentiate the stack sizes for each shipping achievements.
When I first drafted the rules I was thinking of a 999 stack for everything but realized it would take ages for some of the items unlocked on ginger Island.

I haven't tried it myself yet but I'm nearing perfection on my first farm and was thinking of some challenge ideas for another playthrough once I'm done and this is what I came up with. I'll probably start it in the next few days.

I like your rule about being able to sell trash can items. While seemingly small it’ll be massively beneficial for your first trash can upgrade. Otherwise you’re forced to do only quests for money and everyone knows how annoying that it…
