Caine, and hexagons are the rarest shape, omega is the highest variation (with alpha and beta falling behind). Legendaries are pretty rare, so that is a find, the rarest variation is rainbow, so a rainbow omega hexagon. The rarest shapes of all are the dodecahedron and the icosahedron (12 and 20 sided 3d shapes). I saw a cube once, but another team got to it. Oh, and arras.io is a web game where you play as a tank in either FreeTime for all, 2 or 4 team, a load of minigames, and siege, where you defend from bosses. I'm on Labyrinth, where rare shapes abund.

No, there are no variations of platonic polyhedra (3d shapes), except the only seen once rotating polyhedra. If you ever have nothing to do, you should check it out.
