It doesn't taste bad, but not worth the effort of digging up the roots, washing and peeling each one, drying them in the oven just to get an teaspoon of powder. I don't regret making it once but probably never again.

Yea. I don't remember how old I was, but the unmentioned part was convincing mom to let me do it because I read it exists in some book. Also wanted to try making it out of chicory but never got around to that.
