iOS Tea Set Glitch

I'm having an issue where I can't place the tea set anywhere. I know it can be fiddly, but I've literally tried everything I can think of. I play on my iPhone; not sure if that makes it harder. Any advice?

What controls are you using? Trying to place decor (I'm assuming you want to put it on a table or whatnot?) is pretty hit-or-miss using the default mobile controls (Tap-to-move). If you select Joystick and 2 Buttons instead, the right button works pretty much exactly as expected for placing objects on tables. I always switch to that if I'm doing heavy decorating.
