SUGGESTIONS TO TAKE THIS GAME FROM OKAY TO ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

First and FOREMOST

Turn off the ingame time. Or add it as an option to turn off the in game time!!!! Add a " NAP " option to skip to night if needed!!!! It is beyond frustrating. There is virtually NO TIME to do everything in the day. As it is, trying to do the Volcano is virtually impossible unless you basically ignore all mobs and ores to rush to the end. RUSH. And even then, you will probably run out of time!!!! The constant rush massively detracts from the fun one can have!!!!

In Co-Op mode, the timer does not even stop when putting items away or buying / selling stuff, meaning that by the time you are done, half the day is gone!!!! Meaning even less time!!!! MEANING PLAYING CO-OP IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY FUN BECAUSE OF THE SIGNIFICANT TIME CONSTRAINTS!

Enable us to buy stacks of items. E.G. 10 stone, 100 stone, etc. Takes way, way to long purchasing items!!!!

Increase BAG SPACE. It fills up WAY TOO FAST. In Skull Cavern, it fills up on the first 5 floors!!!! Tents can be used to sleep so you can stay on that floor without returning to your house, but what is the point when BAG SPACE FILLS UP TOO FAST TO BE OF USE!!!! As it is, due to ingame time, you can only use 100 staircases or there abouts in a day!!!! Which means once again, any and all fun is removed from the game because of the constant rush, and lack of inventory space!!!!

Junimo Chests. Make them Link to every chest around them!!!! And putting items in then automatically adds to current stockpiles provided there is enough space! Moving between 5-10 chests to store items constantly again detracts from the fun!!!! If you have 1 Junimo chest, and 8 big chests bordering it, then everything in those 8 chests should be able to be accessed from any Junimo chest! If you have 6 Junimo chests, each with 8 Big Chests bordering them, and a Singlr Junimo chest for access / storage, it will significantly reduce the time and effort needed to store and locate items!

Greenhouses. Add UPGRADES! Significantly increased floor space inside. Also add in a watering system as an upgrade. There is already 1 accessible Greenhouse. But with very, very limited space. There is little to no reason why one can not have several, and that they can not be upgraded.

Sheds. Enable more upgrades and floors / basements. Enables us to do more actual farming / producing / crafting.

Slime Huts. Massively increase the amount of Slimes one can have in there + add an automatic watering system as an upgrade with significantly more floor space.

Barns and Coops. Enable GRASS to grow inside them, and increase the floor space to enable enough grass to grow that one is not CONSTANTLY having to buy more Hay and put it in Silo's!!!!

ARMOR!!!! We have Boots that have stats. So next is Chest and Head. There is no reason why boots have stats, but chest and head are just accessories!

Equipment Upgrades. Enable us to add Gems to Weapons and Boots / Armour! Gives a purpose to Gems. E.G. 1 Diamond adds 1 attack. 1 Earth Crystal adds 1 defense. Add in Elemental resistance and Elemental Attack using various Gems. E.G. Ruby will Add 1 Fire Attack to a weapon, or 1 Fire Resistance to an Armor item. Enable this to be an unlimited upgrade ability, and gems will suddenly have VALUE. Right now there are a boody prize when trying to farm things you actually need.

Trinkets. Enable equipping MORE. They are an amazong addition, and while several are amazing. Others are just trash and pointless. But equiping several, or 1 of each would add to theit value.

Rings. We have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs. Enable us to equip 10 rings. Or constantly combine rings to increase their abilities. Would add in another way to make now almost useless items actually needed.

Artisan Items. If you use an Iridium Grade Item / items to make an Artisan item, it should be Iridium Grade.

Wines / Booze. Same as Above. Using an Iridium Fruit / Vege / Honey / Hops should turn out an Iridium Drink. Iridium Products should not be valued the same when using for Cooking / Manufacturing. If their only increased value is selling as a base product, then what is the point of Fertiliser? The ONLY benefit I can see is Iridium grade crops produce more seeds when run through a seed maker.

Add a leaderboard to Skull Cavern. For example. Lowest level achieved without using Staircases. ONLY using Ladders or Holes. Still allow tents to be used though, so people can save and log out if needed / wanted, and log back in on that floor. Will give tents far more meaning and use. Right now, they serve no purpose unless you are staircasing down several hundred or thousands of levels.

Enable some Foods or Drinks to permanently Increase base stats. Like Luck, Attack, Defense, fishing, gathering, farming, etc. But make those dishes hard to make, requiring probably atleast 1 of every ingredient + something to do with the attribute to be increased. Give ingredients and Food / drinks a new meaning.

Enable Fish Farms to be Placed in Storage Sheds. This again reduces the strain on external space. With everything we need to grow / harvest / farm / forrage, there simply is not enough space unless you are constantly demolishing buildings and replacing them. Greenhouses + Shed Expansions / Basements and 2nd / 3rd floors, or whatever, increase the space we have without impacting the main map.

The Game while it is good, has several factors that make it JUST good. The TIME factor is the overall biggest issue. Next is the bag space. Gold has no value because there is nothing to spend it on. Next is the very limited space on farms. Enabling Unlimited Greenhouses that all have upgrades resolves the space issue. Making a few minor tweaks to Animal Facilities and those issues are resolved as well.

And, as anyone knows, on harvets days, those Junimo's on the Main Farm lag it out horrendously. Having them in Greenhouses instead, where the main farm isn't impacted, takes away the lag. Greenhouses could also have multiple floors. This would enable another gold sink and provide something viable to do with it.

These Q.O.L measures are needed to make Stardew Valley one of the best games in its genre, if not the very best. BUT THE TIME AND STORAGE ISSUES NEED TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP.

Even if some of your suggestions are made by others too (in one way or another) you miss the main point of the game: it's about choices!
The game wouldn't make fun at all if you don't have to choose.

So you should look at mods for your ideas because your ideas would unbalance the game extremely and probably wont become part of the game itself.

Yeah. These ideas are good but not for the main game. This would break the game severely lmfaoo. Also way too much to implement.

I don't think it's necessarily too much to implement as we've seen good (and sometimes too much) qol come along with large constent updates over the years, but I do agree with you and freizeitfarmer that it sort of misses the point about stardew being a game for time management and making choices, just like you would prioritize what you want to do or need to do irl.

It's not like there are any long term time-limitations, either. You could play for hundreds of years and chip away at something small every day, no real need to do it all at once.

Unfortunately, for those saying to use mods....

MODS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR CONSOLE PLAYERS

For those saying " Time Management ".... I can not for the life of me fathom the last time it took me 10 minutes to swing a pickaxe 10 times, or 10 minutes to wind a fish in, or 20 minutes to wapk from the kitchen to the bedroom.

Just like with the Wildlife farm that enables monsters to spawn on the farm, and option to turn off the in game time SHOULD be an option, just like one can use the ingame setting to have monsters spawn on normal farms as well. I5 could be an item achieved in like year 5 or something.

To those saying " these would break the game lol ", use mods.....

The fact that most people on any device thay supports MODS, that most players use mods, completely points out the irrelevance of your reply.

A simpler answer would be to enable a " MOD MENU " ingame, with a full list of current mods, accessibile even to console players.

I personally am tired of it requiring up to an hour ( real time ) to purchase seeds or ores / supplies ( think hay or stone )

I am also tired of my bag storage filling up on thr first 5 floors of Skull Cavern.

I am also beyond tired of every moment in game feeling like every single thing and movement is a rush. Games are supposed to be fun and relaxing. Being rushed isn't fun.

If an option to disable the time was available, more people would play. No mods would be needed. Crops would still require " sleeping " to grow, just like normal. But one could play skull cavern to theit hearts content.

Enabling Bag storage to be significantly increased would actually increase the fun playing. Or a way to use an " elevator " in skulk cavern to go back down to the last 5th floor, like in the Mine. But significantly increasing inventory space would actually provide a purpose to food and tents ( THINK you want to log out and actually do something IRL, but don't want to loose progression / depth of skull mine.

As it stands with " time management ", there is NO WAY to Plow all tillable tiles, AND PLANT seeds in a single day. Let alone add Fertiliser or Hyper grow Too many " dry out " overnight, even with sprinklers watering them. And this is using irridium tools with reaching!!!! And that means the next day, before you can plant, you have to replow any that " dried out " overnight, despite being watered overnight!!!!

Hell, there is barely enough time to harvest and reseed the Island Farm!!!! THE ISLAND FARM! Which is significantly smaller than the main farm!

I would also like to suggest several MASSIVE expansions to the cellar / basement, to enable more casks / kegs to be placed in them to upgrade drinks into better versions. Or SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the time required!

This is a combination farming sim / monster fighting sim, with little to no time to do either in any given day. With insufficient bag inventory to actually farm either of the various mines, and extremely insufficient time to actually farm them.

Turning off the in game time would simply stop the mine from resetting until one skipped to next day. Prevent crops from growing. etc. Meanwhile, it would actually enhance the enjoyability factor of the game because people could LITERALLY kick back and relax playing this game.

The ONLY reason why other games that are similar are better, is exclusively because of the time factor. Animal Crossing is better because it runs on actual REAL LIFE TIME. Which gives a much more laid back, relaxing atmosphere. And lets face it. Most people simply do not, remotely, in any way, enjoy ecery aspect of what is supposed to be their downtime, being constantly rushed because there isn't enough time.

And then factor in kids playing, or families together on the same farm. Yeah, not going to happen.

So by not enabling the ability to turn off the game time, the developer has an active game function that turns off most of their propsective player base. Kids, famailies, and those looking for something to RELAX with.

3 things to make the game better than any other gane of it's type. The ability to turn off INGAME time, or have it sync to REAL LIFE TIME!!!!

And 2nd. INVENTORY SPACE. We need way way more. It fills far too fast, so you are constantly trashing items that you actually need for rarer items!

And lastly, Sheds / Greenhouse / GREENHOUSES. LARGER WITH MORE SPACE / FLOORS.

Personally i think the game is outstanding and amazing already, i recognize i like the idea of been able to use more rings, not 10 though, it would be too much and as some other people said would break the game.

About taking out the pass of time i agree its not a good idea, i always loved the way Stardew Valley reflects the pass of time in our everyday life, and how you need to make chooses on your daily routine about what would you do.

The space on the bagpack, although sounds like a good idea reminds of some other games with infinite storage space and you keep too much time navigating through infinite menus i much rather keep short and simple.

What i admit is that i would love year 1 to be a quick faster, i started a new file recently and at first its a bit too much limiting, but still nothing unbearable.

Yeah, I'm on the Nintendo Switch and I'm sad I can't get mods.
