Suggestions for Elliott's Spouse Room

Firstly, I adore Stardew and feel the love that has gone into every detail. Thank you for this game and the experience—it’s very close to my heart. I’ve created 45–50 farms and married Elliott about 90% of the time. My suggestions are related to his spouse room.

I think it’s important that he have a nice writing desk in there with a chair—at least a table with paper or parchment, a quill and ink, maybe a rose. It’s a little confusing that he doesn’t have a desk or table, and instead has barrels and logs (which match Gus’s backroom, not Elliott’s cabin). All the other spouse rooms seem to hit the mark, but Elliott’s writing desk is glaringly missing.

Not as important, but just a thought: it would also be nice for his room to have carpet instead of the rustic plank floor. I know it matches his cabin, but the other features of his room (luxurious wallpaper and large bookcase) already indicate a more elevated aesthetic. (BTW: the boat is a nice touch—reminiscent of the one at his cabin.)

Just some thoughts! :flower:

Totally agree, that was the thing I also was a bit confused about... Maybe it's the reason for not continuing writing, although he tells you so.
In the save where my farmer is married to him, she sat up a little writing corner in the house (not that he ever used it but it felt better somehow...) Maybe he'll visit his old cabin for the writing stuff when going to the beach, who knows.
