PlayStation Stuttering while walking diagonally

Hello!

Im having this weird stuttering while walking since the 1.6 update. When moving diagonally, especially to the top right, the character will stop for a second or slow down and then suddenly continue walking fast again. Never had this issue before. It happens almost always as soon as I walk top right. Top left has no problem at all. I tried two ps5 controllers.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

It‘s a new fresh maedowlands farm and on ps5. (No hats etc.)

Version 1.6.2, single player and english language.

Edit: This issue seems to improve a bit when enabling auto run, but it’s still not a perfect solution sadly.

I actually am having the same issue. But it’s not just walking diagonally. It’s micro-stuttering while running in any direction. Can be straight up and down or left to right as well.

I initially noticed it most with the environmental effects, such as rain or leaves falling. However, I’ve also experienced it right after the day starts (no sale the night before, or experience/level up).

I’ve noticed it while fishing too in the rain. There is a stutter (not micro).

I specifically use the joystick to run and not the D-pad. I haven’t noticed a difference using either. Auto-run is enabled on mine.
  • New game created with the 1.6.9 release.
  • Current Version 1.6.9, build 37
  • New game with Meadowlands Farm; not playing a prior saved game. I haven’t attempted to play or access pre-existing farms/saves.
  • Single Player only. No online or local co-op.
  • Using Dual-Sense controller; no mouse-keyboard.
  • No mods.
  • Installed the Disc for PlayStation 4 Stardew Valley Collectors Edition * (not digital purchase)
  • Playing on Samsung 55” 4K 70QA (120hz). TV settings are all original manufacturer settings.
  • I did try updating my PlayStation 5 setting to “performance” instead of “default”, it made no difference. I verified my PlayStation 5 software was up-to-date.
