Steam/PC Multiplayer?

Just two rules: Please don't spend any money without asking (I am not very strict about this and it's very likely that I'll let you buy what you want to. and don't take anything out of chest without asking. (Just for organizational purposes.)

I would be interested. Is there a specific time or any other multiplayer considerations I should be aware of? I am a newish player, and haven't played a multiplayer setting yet.
