Stardew Valley on Switch

I first played SV on Switch and loved it, several years ago. Great gameplay, graphics and mechanics overall, for the most part. Soon though i realized just how stressful it is being on the clock all the time, everywhere, and the harsh consequences of it. As you probably have guessed, im a very slow person :) I enjoy pondering where to place that barn, plant those wheat to make a nice passage way for the greenhouse while on-the-way pop into shed and start some machines. That's me. Running to the beach = 1 day. Catching that npc + cut some hardwood = 1 day. It's a bit too constrained

Solution i found was to get the game for pc and immediately install a mod that slowed down time. Now it was the perfect game :)

However. Since i really enjoy being on Switch i think its sad the port has such limitations. Not only are mods not available, there is no way (tht im aware of anyways) to reload an older save file - since there arent any. I guess some ppl will think of it as cheating or that this is what the game is about, but to me it's what makes the game brittle. I mean - i do plenty stressful stuff at work, dont quite need my free time for that ^^

Ok so why not continue play on pc? Because being on Switch is a way more pleasant way to spend a few hours leisure time. Again: pc i do at work, pay bills, shopping and other grown-up things..

So what i would love: Make a game option where time goes slower or a hotkey or whatever to just halt it for a bit, on Switch. That's my suggestion :)

If you don't mind losing the portability of the Switch, I highly recommend using a controller on the PC. You can continue modding to your heart's content, but the controls are very similar to those on the Switch. You may have to do some reconfiguring of your PC to create a cozier gaming setup, but it's a much easier way to get what you want as the mods are already available on PC.

I've never used controller on pc before, but tried it the other day. No luck lol. I managed to connect pc - controller but SV didnt recognize it. How do you activate pc shortcuts, like 'p' on a controller..?
