Issue Stardew Valley Mod Help - Game Pass

I basically need major help in figuring out how to mod. I've watched videos, read through the forums here and I'm stuck. Maybe a bit afraid to mess up my computer. I have downloaded SMAPI. I tried downloading via nexus mods and nothing worked for me. The mod folder will not show up for me to drop any mods into. Anyone willing to help a newbie to modding? Start to finish if I'm honest. I managed to MOD a different game, so I'm capable, but for some reason SDV has me stumped.

There's some step-by-step instructions on the wiki for installing SMAPI into multiple versions; including the gamepass version: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Windows#Xbox_app

I'd start there to verify it's installed correctly.
Then post a log if there's still issues after installing, and trying to run SMAPI: https://smapi.io/log/
