The biggest problem is the Catfish being in the possible fishing pool; is that it takes too long for anyone with mid/low skill to catch. Its not worth the points that it offers in less it is literally the last catch of the fishing mining game. I just stopped catching it; the moment that I see the fish jerk up and down at 100 miles an hour out of my bar I let it go. Its just faster taking the loss and gather more points with more fair fish.
It's nice to have a sort of capstone fish; but when you only end up catching two catfish in one run for 72 points; it feels bad when you can get 500+ by just ignoring the catfish. It would be different if it was worth way more.
But as is; just give up the moment you see one because its just a waste of time fighting; just go limp and accept your loss.
