Spouse refuse to sit!

Sam as a spouse stands still at the living room beside the table and even putting a new chair in front of him has no difference.
I guess it's a game , but it looks strange. Like he is punished at school.

I have never seen any spouse sit in the farmhouse!
I know Sebastian sits at his computer, and Alex & Haley sit in Haley's living room, and Penny sits with the children at the library. Penny & Maru sit on benches in town. So the characters are able to sit.
I've married Penny, Leah, Alex, and Emily and I never saw any of them sit.

I find it strange too that most of the spouses just stand around staring and don't sit down.

Maybe a change for a future update? I'd like the spouses to do more stuff.

But are they going to fix it in the future update?

Im referring to all the marriage candidates (Ridgeside Village,Stardew Valley Expanded and the other mod)

well it's not a bug, the code/sprites just aren't in to make characters sit down at certain spots in the farmhouse. that would be a nice suggestion, though!
