smapi download on mac (terminal doesn't look right)

i'm trying to download smapi on my mac (m3, sonoma 14.4.1) but every time i try to open the "install on macOS.command" it opens the terminal and all it says at the end is "process complete" instead of the text it is supposed to have like the "which text looks more readable?"

what am i doing wrong?? pls help

It sounds like there might be an issue with the installation script. Double-check the script's contents for any errors or try redownloading it. You may also want to seek guidance from the SMapi support community.

HELLO FRIEND!!!! I am having the same exact problem :( I really want to try out mods but I have been trying for hours to trouble shoot this problem with no luck. Did you ever resolve this issue?

I have exactly the same issue. I already searched on the internet but nothing worked for me. I wanted to play without mods but the terminal still popped up. I made the choice to completely delete everything, also the game itself. I was scared i lost everything but Steam had my folders still in their database so i have everything and can normally play the game! i am going to wait until there is a clear solution. But if someone has the same issues, deleting everything and reinstalling the game works wonders via Steam at least.

Oh I got y'all. go to settings > privacy > developer tools > add terminal and restart computer. might need to reinstall smapi but should work
