I just think it'd be cool if you could get like. 5 points to start to put wherever you want. So you could start with one profession already, or with a better leg up in general. And an opt-out, for people who want to play normally.
And, honestly, maybe an extension to the current skill tree? I may come back and add ideas, but a third profession to earn in the skills late game (maybe unlocked more like bundles - you're given a task to 'prove' you've earned that profession, rather than just leveling up into in) could be worth it to play longer.
