Solved Save not loading, returns to main menu

Hey.

whenever I try to load 1 of my saves it returns me to the main menu. I have another save that works without any problem so maybe it's a problem with the safefile itself.

I tried google but I couldn't find any solution. Thanks for any help.

well I can somehow update this myself. I was able to fix it. Maybe this will help someone with a similar problem.

I did 2 things so I'm not sure which one of those fixed the problem.

1. I deactivated the Steam Cloud Option.
2. I went into the savefile directory and deleted every file that had _old in the name.

The SAME EXACT thing is happening to me and I have done almost everything to fix it. uninstalled in and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. I tried doing what you had listed but still doesn't load. I can't find any files that have _old because I had just downloaded not too long ago.
