hello, i am writing this through tears because as silly as it is this game has been a big comfort for me and my boyfriend. we’re on year two in summer and have poured so much love and effort into the game, we just got the greenhouse and unlocked the desert!! things were great. we finished a day yesterday and closed it as normal, we woke up today excited to play again and we go on the game and our farm is just… gone.
we play on xbox series S and my boyfriend has played stardew for years, all of his other save files are there thankfully, including old co op ones but ours just vanished. there was no message, no crash, or disconnection- it just left. we play locally and i join fine every time, its been a flawless time tbh and the highlight of our day as its my first playthrough and intro to stardew and ive fallen in love with it.
its a lovely escape and we were so proud of our world and its just…. gone… like that. its honestly so upsetting. our files are still saved on xbox when we check in settings, but all we can do is just look at them. the farm is just gone. we have quit the game and gone on it multiple times, we even uninstalled and reinstalled and its still not there.
i would appreciate ANY advice, literally anything. id pay money to get it back, like it really was everything to us. if anyone has anything to suggest we will try it!!! its so weird because its there, it still exists, we just cant go in it.
