Save Disappeared, + Freezing

I have a feeling I know why my save disappeared, but I don't know how to fix it. I'm using the most recent version of the Save Anywhere mod. I saved my game with the mod, but instead of closing the game when it finished, I turned the power off to my laptop, thinking it would close the game for me normally like it does with any other program. Maybe I turned the power off too early? Or maybe it just didn't like the fact that I turned off my laptop instead of closing the game. I do have the Advanced Save Backup mod as the Save Anywhere mod suggests, but I don't know how to use it to recover my save. Also, I recognize I need to update a few mods. I was a little nervous to update them before recovering my save, but they've needed to be updated for a couple days and haven't caused any issues.

As far as the game freezing, I have no idea why. It occurs multiple times per in-game day, and there is no pattern or consistency as to when it happens. It lasts about 4-5 seconds, then the game continues. Only once has this ever led to a crash (I was spamming my attack during the freeze as it froze right as I was about to die in the mines). After those few seconds the game resumes like normal.

Thank you for any help in advance!

Update: I have discovered that the freezing is not due to the game, but my laptop. I will get that sorted separately. I just need some help recovering my save now.

I hope you don't mean you "turned the power off to [your] laptop" by literally pushing the power button and waiting for it to turn off. And I also hope you don't mean that you just clicked "Shut Down" and thought that was going to do everything correctly.

First rule of using a computer - unless absolutely necessary, never ever turn off the PC using the power button if you have applications open that you didn't save/close before hand. Turning off the computer does not ensure that applications actually close properly. You should always close the applications (via their individual close/quit mechanisms) to ensure that they actually do everything they need to close and save their data. Fastest way to corrupt your data is to just power off thinking it's all good.

Your save doesn't look to have disappeared, just looks like it can't be loaded by the game. Something about how its SaveGameInfo file got saved isn't correct. That's the issue with using mods like Save Anywhere (even if it "usually" works). I don't have an answer for how to fix it but I'm sure there's a mod/video out there that could walk you through it. You certainly aren't the first person I've seen with this issue. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anyone reply with a fix for it. Most people just reply "figured it out" and then never post the answer.

All I can do is provide guidance on proper computer usage. Whoever taught you to "just power off the computer and it'll be fine" has led you astray.
