Hi everyone, I'm running into a frustrating bug and was hoping someone here might have seen it before:
Throughout this Summer, the same mail keeps popping up in my mailbox every day. It reads something like "Summer is here and a lot of new fish are in season..." No matter how many times I open and close it, it just keeps reappearing the next day.
I suspect it's coming from one of my fishing-related mods (possibly the "more new fish"? I guess) sent through the Mail Framework Mod, but I'm not certain which one is the actual cause. I've also tried updating some of my outdated mods (such as SH Wild Animals and Bean's Pet Overhaul). Interestingly, on the day I did that, the stuck mail finally disappeared and a bunch of other letters that had apparently been backed up all popped up at once. However, after that day, the same mail got stuck again and the problem came back.
My main concern is that removing the Mail Framework Mod or any of the related fishing mods might break my save, so I'd really like to avoid that if possible.
Has anyone experienced this before? And is there a safe way to fix it, like by editing the save, clearing a stuck mail flag, or updating a specific mod — without losing my progress?
