readjust weapon hitboxes

It is extremely obvious that your weapon reaches much further attacking upwards than when attacking downwards. For example, just try to attack a Lava Lurk with a dagger while facing downwards. (You literally cannot.) No matter if you are using a sword, dagger, or hammer, efficient combat basically boils down to running circles around your enemies until you can attack from below because that is the only way to consistently avoid damage. Combat in the volcano mine is inherently easier than combat in SC and mines because you are constantly traveling upwards in the volcano mine, and I think that's silly. Can we get a larger hitbox when attacking downwards?
