Updated the OP because I realized I never did it with the last 2 pics. Oops. Little update about whts going on though. The laptop that has the save file for this farm is still broken. Don't know when I will be able to fix it, but it's on a large to do list. I might do this style again on mobile and post it in a new thread until I am able to repair the main farm's screen. Does anyone know if Mac save files can transfer to PC by any chance?

In the meantime, I find the best way to view the pictures is to open them in tabs one by one and tab through them that way (Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+Shift+Tab, for those of you who want to be all computer savvy n the like). When you do this you get a chance to really see the forest grow, and see which trees have been there for a very long time. BTW, yes, i have a method and set of rules when forestkeeping, and no, I don't play favorites when deciding who comes down next. The only exception is mahogany, and HOLY BAJEEZUS where did that mushroom tree come from and why am I only just noticing it?!?

I’m so very sorry your computer broke! How unfortunate! I do hope someone can get those files transferred for you. I’m late to posting here but it is a very beautiful farm and I love the sheer amount of grass and trees! Especially all of the fruit trees! Wish you much luck in recovering that file.

Mushroom tree is totally intentionally blocking grandpas shrine, he must have had a mushroom tree infestation himself and now they're after his last grandchild...

That's a shame, I've lost a few of my own farms to old devices and corrupted hard drives unfortunately, definitely sucks
Don't worry, I'll do another thread like this eventually. Would you guys like to see my typical forest again, or should I go with something different? Honestly I've been thinking about doing a beach farm forest

I think something new would breath some fresh air into it, be that beach farm or maybe smt like meadowlands?

If'n I ever manage to rescue my save file then sure. It's currently locked inside a broken laptop:heartbroken:
As long as your deceased laptop has a removable drive it should be straightforward to recover that data. Some laptops are terrible to open and you'll need a USB adapter to attach the drive after removing it which will hopefully only be a one time use thing, but that farm save is in there waiting for the stars to align for recovery.

It's a Mac ;_;

I think there's a way to attach it to another Mac n recover it, but it's a little low on my priority list at the moment. I do miss the farm though, I was really enjoying it

Yeah that's kinda a pain, there's Target Disk mode but that needs the Mac to be at least minimally working and other stuff. 2017 or earlier Macs have removable SSDs but they're an annoying shape so you need weird adapters and junk aaaaaand... yeah that just makes me tired. I get the low priority.

I get the low priority.
Yup, that's exactly it. Fortunately though, only the screen is broken, I think, and it will still go through the boot cycle. If I went through with it tho, does anyone know if Mac saves are compatible with PC saves? My mew laptop runs some kinda windows

100% compatible, I've swapped my Mac and PC save folders for years. Since your screen is the only broken bit, you should be able to connect it to a screen and use it like a Mac Mini that got squashed by an elephant. Uhm, well squashed into a keyboard and trackpad and a teeny monitor. But totally exactly the same mostly!
