Standard Farm Ranger's Free Leaf Farm

Okay it's been approximately forever since I updated this. I played quite a bit when my Internet was down so I felt like sharing with y'all. I'm not gonna post all of it at once, but I did take some pictures of some highlights while I was playing.

First off, I have been fishing a LOT in this save, and so I posted up in my semi-usual spot in the forest so I can woo Leah (I'm actually usually a little bit further down to the left). So there I was, semi-mindijg-my-own-business when Leah popped out of her house, and, well...she is very distracting...

I said I would marry her (and did), but my intention was to be near her house so I could give her gifts more reliably, but I still missed her more often than not.

A few days later I came home to find my cat "appreciating" my fish tanks, and then immediately pretending to clean himself as if nothing was wrong.

A few days later I put this thing near his water dish. If any of you have seen Courage the Cowardly Dog, you'll know what's going on here.

I love your natural farms. They are so pretty and showcase beautifully what Mother Nature does irl. Trees not suburbanly perfectly lined up or non existent. Plants here there and everywhere mixed in to nourish and sustain us. Well done! I see you are on Fall 2, what year?

BTW: the cat staring curiously at the fish tank is a perfectly timed screenshot!

This screen was taken in year 1, but I'm fast approaching fall 2.

And I know, the cat has been absolutely cracking me up in this save. It's hard for me to take screens on my phone, so when I was going through my pics I audibly lol'd. There are some days where he will just walk in front of where I'm going. Doesn't matter where I am on the farm or what I'm doing.

Just yesterday I was pathing from the greenhouse up to the farm cave, and he did just that. While I was trying to get a decent screen shot of him being a turd (my phone is absolutely awful and I have to do a 3 finger press and hold on the screen, I haven't figured out another way to do it yet, but it messes up many good screenshots and I have to give up on them). Anyways, while I was trying to get a good screen of him just sitting in the way right where I'm trying to tile the path, he walks off. Just as I get a good shot. I'm like "mhmm I see you, cat." Meanwhile, it's getting later in the evening, and so he walks about 4 paces upwards, and then falls asleep, in the middle of my path! I had a good laugh of it and proceeded to shmooooove my cat out of the way while I finished the last 2 tiles of my path. At this point I was too annoyed to even care about a picture. Gg cat, gg.

I almost forgot that I had more stuff to post here. Oops!
First off, my cat chillin in its favorite spot...

Okay so I had quite a day or two. It happened a while ago so I may have forgotten some details, but I'll try to tell the story right.

So there I was one day, chillin in the mines doing some forge work and looking at my fish tank. Willy had the bug meat quest out which I accepted late, and had one day to finish it. So I dove into the mines and scooped up about 50 bug meats in one fell swoop. After that I was like "Y'know what? I feel like going deep into the mines so I can get that fire geode, the last thing I need for the minecarts bundle." Mind you I was currently on level 85 and it was already past noon, but I decided to push as hard and far as I could.

By the time I was done I had gone 17 levels down, scooped up a fire geode and many many other goodies and was rushing to the beach to deliver a heap of crab meat. On the way back home I passed out on the way towards the forest entrance of the farm, and I assume I spent the night with Leah curled up under one of her blankets, quietly sipping cider together. Or something.

The next day I was cruising around doing...things, and late in the day I noticed a ticket poking off the big bulletin board so I scooped that up too! And since it was still early enough I just barely made it into Lewis' house and exchanged it for some stardrop tea, which was obviously going to Leah. So... since I don't have most villagers movements memorized, I went to the saloon to wait for Leah, and commiserate with Elliott about the lack of Leah in the pub.


Then, with the local fair coming up, I decided to display said tea on the grange display. Somehow this scored a 90, which was much higher than I expected...

Eventually the tea made its way to Leah.

Meanwhile, I was doing weird things with sprinklers on my farm.

I already knew that I wanted and was going to use a BUNCH of basic sprinklers later on, and I also needed quality pumpkins (funny story, I messed up on the quality corn and had to wait til spring to finish that bundle, oops..), so I set up a bunch of sprinklers and later noticed I messed up the planting and placement a little somewhere, but I didn't care too much. Mostly because I just absolutely LOVE the way the forest looks in the fall.

Anyways, bonus pic of my cat. I dislike the bed, but monorail cat so whatever.

I'll try to remember to actually post some more tomorrow!
