Solved Qi's Kindness

Hello,
I recently accepted the Qi's Kindness quest on Switch, and I tried giving a Stardrop Tea to the Wizard, and to Marnie. Their reactions were as expected, but when I checked my quest progress, the count said "0/50" gifts given.
Anyone else having this trouble? Could be a bug?...

Thank you, I thought it was a universal love. I'll try with different items and see, and post my update.

I guess the wiki and others' posts are just erroneous in saying that stardrop tea is a universally loved gift. I was able to complete the quest using various other items.

Where does the wiki state that? On the stardrop tea page it says that it doesn’t count for the Qi’s kindness quest.

Stardrop Tea is indeed loved by everyone. However, it does not count as a loved gift for that particular quest. Mr Qi must not love Stardrop Tea, or considers it to be cheating for his quest.
