Qi's Crops

Ok this is a completely wild situation but about a year ago I decided that i wanted to get all hats in stardew which was a fun and totally worth while adventure. HOWEVER i have officially skipped through almost 9 years in game and have not once seen the qi's crops quest appear. I would have assumed that completing all the other quests multiple times or just wildly skipping time would make it appear but no I cannot get this quest to spawn. In the time i have spent I have managed to get nearly every collectible in the game to get past the fact I have not gotten this quest to spawn yes even the living hat (sorry for the small flex) but I cannot get this one quest to appear for me. every week there is a 2/10 chance for it to appear and there's 16 weeks an in game year going on for about 130 weeks total im close to what 0.0001% right now theres no way that I'm this unlucky right?

Am i just doing something wrong?
Is my game just super bugged?
am i really just that stupidly unlucky?

I mostly just needed to vent about this really quick but I also would appreciate any advice for how I might get this quest to spawn.
as an fyi this is on the switch. at this point i am totally ok with starting local co-op or cheating *sigh* if it comes to that but i think the most useful glitches dont work on the switch anyways.

I'm gonna have to say that you are horribly unlucky and I don't think there is much you can do, but maybe there's something in the code? Idk much about doing that sort of stuff but maybe talk to Margotbean on the wiki or her account over here (I also did that quest just for the hat)
Edit: just looked and she hasn't been active no the forums for almost three weeks so I would suggest talking to her on her talk page

Oof, if it's not a bug then that's ridiculously unlucky. I hope it pops up soon! I think we've had one or two other people post here waiting forever for certain quests to appear, so you're not alone.

Side note - I went to have a look at the wiki and I didn't know you can make jelly and wine from Qi fruit! Now I'm going to wait for the quest to appear too because I want those. (like the hat, apparently they don't despawn after the quest ends as long as they're finished processing)

I forget how to predict/force those quests but there is a way, I'll do some looking around but you may need to private message me your seed or save file (the former might suffice).

I'll see what I can do, if I don't respond in a week just ping me on here as I'm quite busy and I forget stuff quite easily

Probably just really unlucky? idk, it could be a weird bug.

The quests you get are semi-fixed based on the seed number of your file. I say semi-fixed because if you already have a quest running, it won't show up again. So you can increase the chances of getting it by accepting quests that have a long time limit. E.g. if you pick a quest that expires in 3 weeks, then that quest can't show up again for the next 3 weeks, which gives Qi beans a slightly larger chance of showing up.
