I found this consistent Qi Bean exploit that works on both Windows (1.6.15 build 24356) and Nintendo Switch 1 (1.6.15 build 13) so it appears to be cross platform on the single player game. I have repeated this several times and it is consistently repeatable.
The exploit: Essentially the cleanup code that runs at the end of Qi's Crop quest to de-spawn all the Qi Beans has a bug where it will NOT de-spawn the beans in a certain circumstance. With that you can plant, harvest, use a seed maker and repeat outside of the quest until you have 500 Qi Fruit to turn in on day 1 of the quest the next time it comes around.
The specific circumstance refers to uncollected beans, meaning they have never been gathered by the player and are simply laying on the ground where they appeared. To make this easier I tend to plant many trees ahead of the last day of the Qi Crop quest, and before I turn in the 500th fruit to the shipping bin for the night I go around and cut down all the trees with my inventory full generating Qi beans on the ground 25% of the time. With my inventory full the beans will not be able to be picked up and will just lay on the ground. Leave them on the ground overnight until after the quests ends and then gather them for the exploit.
