Proposal was rejected😞 What now?

Hi! I discovered Stardew Valley a couple weeks ago and I love it, but I have a problem. I gave Emily the Mermaid Pendant and she said something like “I am sorry, I like this.” When I try to get another pendant from the mariner, he doesn’t give me one. He tells me to give it to the person I want to marry. He thinks I still have the original one I gave Emily. I am playing the mobile game, btw. Will I ever be able to get married? Thank for any advice!

You should still have the pendant if you gave it to her and she declined the proposal. However if you did and your house is big enough for both of you and she has 8 hearts, there shouldnt have been a problem. The other issue is that you have to have dated her by giving her a bouquet of flowers bought from peirrer. If the pendant is gone and the fisherman wont give it back, it may have been a glitch or a corrpuption in which case you may have to date/marry someone else. Check mayor Luis's book and see if you can divorce.
