Pigs vs Sheep?

I was wondering what animal should I buy? I know pigs make a lot more money and such but I also need cloth for making clothes.

Pigs are nice if you have botanist cuz then you can pick up iridium quality truffles and sell them unprocessed. I prefer sheep because their wool goes into the auto grabber and I dont have to go around picking it up/worrying it'll despawn like truffles do. And making different clothes is fun. But if you choose pigs, you can get wool from rabbits and just skip buying sheep completely

I don't like foraging at all lmaoo. I think I'm on level 5 of foraging. I really really REALLY want some clothes. I don't have a deluxe coop so i can't buy rabbits due to the fact that I would have to get a coop from the absolute ground up.

Then go for sheep, experimenting with stuff you can put in the sewing machine is again a really fun thing to do
Foraging kinda levels up itself cuz I always need wood and pick up stuff. Also green rain can give a lot of experience.

I bomb my wood lmaoo. I think that's what got me to level five in the first place because I can't be bothered to axe trees otherwise.

I save up all my bombs for skull cavern runs, and by the time I have enough of them to allow myself to bomb trees I already have the iridium axe so there's not much need for that

I craft bombs solely for the sake of trees. I do have yet to unlock the bus (I have enough money as I'm going Joja but I have to buy my spring seeds first.)

I never have spare ore to craft bombs until the late game. And I don't like farming for it specifically, but i might do it from time to time

I have a lot of iron spare ore so I just build a bunch of normal bombs. Coal is a pain to get tho.

So true, especially before unlocking the quarry
I never use charcoal kilns cuz they are too fast but need to be constantly refilled. So I cant just leave them working and come back for a ton of coal, I have to stand there and do nothing but refill them every 30 minutes

People say "oH jUsT kiLL tHE dUsT sPritEs" Yeah but those things don't spawn that frequently you have to hop floors.

I think I'm gonna get one pig and see if I like it. If I don't I'm gonna sell it and buy sheep.

ok so I usually just go with a buncha charcoal kilns as a backup resource complete with wood chippers to accommodate hardwood as a source for coal.

so yes, my source of coal is occasionally mahogany trees...

For constantly getting wool the sheep would be the better Investment, since it produced daily when it's at high hearts. Rabbits only produce every two or three days and not only wool.

Most people get rabbits for the feet for friendship though, and the cloth would be a byproduct. It's not like you need that much cloth regardless of how much wool you use while sewing, there's only so many clothes you can make.

i like pigs because when Vincent calls me at 1am on a school night as I'm dashing to my bed, just to ask if I have piggies on my farm, I like to be able to tell him yes.
