Maybe Pierre shouldn't "take the day off" to go to the beach on the first day of a season... when you need to buy seeds and all of that.
Wouldn't that make more sense considering his shop since we came there has started to rely more on our farms crops?

You can still buy from him even when he's at the beach. Just go up to the counter as usual, there will be a box with a note saying to put money in it, then just buy like how you normally would.
