1.6 Update Picking Up Forage Items on Horse (Mobile vs. PC)

Hello I want to ask, I just noticed something while playing Stardew Valley on mobile, and I’m wondering if this is a bug or just an intentional difference between platforms.

On mobile, I can pick up forage items (like leeks, daffodils, etc.) while still sitting on my horse. But on PC, my character automatically dismounts before picking up anything. If I'm not mistaken before the 1.6 update, I can still pick up forage items while still sitting on my horse—and I'm playing on pc that time.

Is this a known thing? Does anyone know if it’s supposed to be like this, or should I report it as a bug?

I play this game on Steam.
I can tell you when I try to forage items, I dismount automatically.
But I can place items into shipping bin while riding a horse. This is the only action I can take when I am on a horse.

On Switch, I am also dismounted when picking up a forageable. Although I can do other things on horseback, such as harvest fish ponds and open gates.

It may be a QoL change made just for mobile, so I can't say for sure if it's a bug or not.

I’m pretty sure it’s only mobile that can pick up forage from the horse. It confuses me every time I start playing on pc after playing on mobile for a while.

Yes, I played Switch version.
That is the mechanic in the game.
I never played mobile version but I this it should be a bug.

Picking up forage from a horse on Mobile has been a mechanic since 1.5. You do have to dismount to hoe artifact spots IIRC

Yes, for any tool usage you have to be dismounted
