Windows Perfection Summit is missing the sky background

First time reaching Perfection on Windows 11. I play on Steam. No mods-- all vanilla. I verified my game files before re-creating the bug. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game before re-creating the bug as well. I deleted my save file and restored it from the cloud, just in case it was somehow corrupted, and the bug persists.

When I reach the summit, the cut scene, sprites video, and non-cutscene summit do not load the sky background. I visited at 9 AM and everything was black (screen shot and game files attached).

If I leave the summit and come back, the sky is still black. The sky just isn't loading.

I have another Windows computer (also windows 11) which does load the sky in this scene.

I am also unable to re-create the bug on Android or Steam Deck. I've apparently lost my perfection game on Switch so I can't verify if it's happening there, too.

Hi, another Reddit user directed me to this post which includes a fix-- apparently the bug occurs when the screen resolution is high or the game is zoomed too far out. That would make sense-- I have the issue when using my big monitor, but the Steam Deck, Android, and other Windows machines are all smaller screens/resolutions.

I will try with the zoom setting not as far out and see if that helps. I still classify it as a bug, though.

OK, when I went into Windowed mode at less than full screen, the sky loads.

My monitor resolution is 2840 x 2160 and my scale is set to 150%, both the recommended settings for my monitor (an LG Ultra HD connected to an NVidia GTX 1060 graphics card).

Yes to all of this! I play at 2560 x 1440 at 75% and got the black summit background. Needless to say it was underwhelming for when reaching perfection. I was expecting night to turn into day but yeah Emily was like "Nice view!" Now she's a smartypants and prone to making snide comments like that when things (like Farmer Bobbi) don't live up to her expectations but yeah, I had to do a search to tell me to make the window smaller.

I'm glad you got to see the true sky and thus discern Krobus (very important)!
