Pc and xbox co-op

Hello, I don't know of it's possible or if it will ever be, but I'd love to able to play stardew valley with my girlfriend, she has a pc and I have a xbox. I know this won't get implemented just because I want to play with her but I hope one day it will be possible.

We've been told this will not ever happen. It requires a dedicated server to broker the connections or more coding than our most concerned of apes wishes to do.

Why don't one of you make the sacrifice of getting a cheap PC or Xbox in order to play with the other? It's not like the PC would need to be all that powerful. I originally played SDV on a cheap, bought at Target laptop with no problems... and purchased years ago. The same rig is probably worth about $100 max at this point. Hell, I'd be willing to sell that same rig for that price if you were interested.
