Was just standing in my farm, I have the lvl 4 parrot equipped, when I had to step away for about an hour to handle a personal thing. When I came back, the parrot was about 7-8 blocks to my left. When I tried to walk towards it, it would fly away, keeping distance. When I walked away, it would fly towards me. After entering a building it returned to normal. My guess is it's something like that Zelda: Twilight Princess speedrun thing where you look at a rupee for 16 hours; in that maybe the parrot's animation slowly moves to the left and misaligns it.
This was on a singleplayer game, v1.6.15 build 24356, on a Windows PC with mouse and keyboard. Couldn't figure out how to attach my save file.
