Parrot egg upgrade

I can’t seem to use the anvil with the parrot egg. I haven't really used this trinket before, but it says level 1 so I figured it was able to be upgraded on the anvil. It just shows ??? when I try to use the anvil to upgrade it. Is level 1 the only level for the parrot? Am I doing it wrong?

Do you have 3 iridium bars?

Parrot eggs are levels 1 to 4, the anvil will re-roll the level - it's not a direct upgrade.

Upgrade your parrot egg with 3 iridium bars again in your anvil, you will see the change instantly.

For anyone not wanting to go to the wiki, the thresholds for each level (minimum required total earnings to access each level at all) are 0g, 750,000g, 1,500,000g, 2,250,000g.

And it scales non linearly too so those higher levels really do award a lot more per kill (level 4 rewarding something like 5-6x as much per kill as level 1)

It takes money to get money - bit like real life, heh. Though I think the L4 parrot would be a bit busted otherwise, any enemy-dense mine levels you can repeat can rack up quite a bit of money.

It's not like the parrot is that early game either, many if not most people already have that much by the time they unlock mastery (especially on a first time playing), so it usually isn't that bad
