Switch Pam Doesn't Come to the Bus Stop

On Switch ver. 1.6.15.3, I used the multiplayer mode briefly to buy the extra cabin from Robin's shop. Used a second controller just to clear out the cabin. After returning to single-player mode, I noticed that Pam was not going back to the bus stop, despite her schedule having no reason for her not to go to the bus stop. I added my second controller back and had my second player greet Pam, Pam went back to the bus stop while in multiplayer mode. Ok cool, I can go back to playing single player. But now Pam has stopped coming to the bus stop, and it seems like she will not unless I go back to multiplayer. It's day 1 of the desert festival, I have repaired the bus, Pam won't come and trying to buy a ticket prompts "wait until a driver comes back". soo frustrating because I haven't gotten a chance to do the desert festival yet ;_;

I’m having a similar issue on ps4 to where I can only get Pam to come to the bus stop when I have a second player join in for co-op play. I can’t go to the desert by myself. Idk what caused the glitch ;_;
