Opinions On Raw Crops vs Processed

hiiii, i wanted some insights and inputs on peoples opinions on crops that are worth best selling raw for the quick and constant income, versus the processed big money products (rhubarb, ancient fruit, starfruit wine, and all the other juices, jellies etc).

like ofc i will have ancient fruit running in my greenhouses and ginger which has starfruits, but i still like to maximise my farm space with seasonal crops. Ofc i dont plant every seasonal crop, mostly large quantities of particular (best selling like cauliflower, melons etc) crops. But i’m just not sure which are worth just selling raw rather than waiting to process wines etc. i also take into account how much i can grow and produce in a season before having to plant the new seasons seasonal plants and making the most of my crops and earnings. Like do i only pick one product to just sell raw, or do i do a best selling raw product and then a quick or slow processing product? Like idkkk!

… im not sure if im making any sense hehehe! Please do ask questions for clarity!
Thanks a bunch x

Generally speaking, gold quality crops are the best to sell directly if you need quick money, while base and silver quality are better to process. In most cases I keep the kegs for processing the most valuable fruits (starfruit, ancient fruit and maybe pineapple, melon, rhubarb if needing it to fill the kegs and keep them working) while I put just about anything else in preserve jars because it's got quicker turnover.

I run most mushrooms in dehydrators because it's quick, but iridium quality mushrooms (and any quality magma caps) get pickled.

I agree with Terdin, most valuable fruits are best to process in kegs, and lower star quality is best to process in general.

That said, I almost always have *way* more raw product than I have any ability to process, even with how fast dehydrators work. So process what you can, and then sell what you have left. Or keep it, if you'd rather hoard stuff than money.

I have been growing a bunch of squash, and I do not have anywhere near enough preserves jars to pickle them all, or kegs to juice them, and I don't think they dehydrate, so I've just been selling them. They still make me money! And it makes me smile to have rows of squash growing.

generally speaking i will process regular quality while saving a couple for cooking recipies and/or "just in case" for item delivery quests
silver quality gets shipped, unless i really need the money right away in which case i'll sell to Pierre
gold quality get shipped unless its a loved gift, in which case i'll hoard about half of it for that purpose (i.e. definitely save gold strawberries for Demetrius and Maru)
