Oak resin and Pine tar popping in Ginger island ????

I have a combo like this on Ginger island (with Automaton mod) and occasionally I've found Oak resin or Pine tar from the chest in the middle. Nice, but where does that come from? Oak resin, Maple syrup, salmonberries or blackberries sometimes end up in certain chest on the main farm, but that is understandable -- there is a touching chain. The only connection could be the mailbox, but it has no connection on the main farm (and a) no-one sends just those products b) mail attachments are not acting weird, they come with the letters)

Those'll be coming from the Wood Chipper!

There's a 2% chance that you get either one Oak Resin, Pine Tar, or Maple Syrup when you put in a piece of Hardwood, although this cannot happen when you put in Driftwood.

OK, I tried to read wiki but did not find the chipper as a source for those. And I've actually got berries into a chest due to Automaton as a chest is touching a bush! Yeah, very fine especially when I'm trying to fill rooms with kegs.
