iOS Not given the option to restore my day

New iPad A16 (11th gen). I forced-closed my game mid (game) day. When I reopened my game, I wasn't given the option to restore where I left off, and was forced to restart my day. On my other iPads (9th gen) I'm always given that option.

It’s a bit random when it does an emergency save. You can do them manually before closing the game by clicking “save backup” in the options menu.

Did you force close because the game froze? (Not sure why you would do it otherwise).

On my old slow iPad that can't really play the game glitchless at full speed, it often freezes or crashes. The autosave is up to a few in-game hours old. So if your game froze in the game morning, it might not have an auot save from after game you got out of game bed.
