I've never tried co-op SV, especially co-op modded, so I'm not sure how to solve my problem. It's just me and my friend playing co-op with me hosting. He can join but is stuck in the loading screen. All of my mods are up to date as well. I saw someone have a similar issue with mods that aren't co-op compatible, but I'm not sure which of my mods are doing that. When I look at my SMAPI log parser, the error isn't with the mods; it's with the game itself. But it could be my mods causing it. I don't know.
