Switch Nintendo switch stardew valley - i couldnt select farm type at the beginning

Hello

i didnt realize this until i was reading some article

apparently there is a farm layout selection in stardew valley at the beginning of the game

but this selection was not presented to me and im playing on the nintendo switch

do i have to start all over again now? is it really worth it to have selected one?

Hi! If you want to try a different farm map, yes you'll have to start over, but I wouldn't say it's required. The standard farm is great for beginners honestly, it has the most open space. But personally I usually have multiple saves going at once, so you could always play your first one for a bit to get your bearings and then start a second one with that knowledge and maybe different goals in mind.

Is it possible you just missed the selection when you created your save file? It isn't a separate screen where you select it, it's the column on the right side of your character creation screen!
