Looks like we'll get to sit on furniture, place furniture outside, ducks will be in the water, some gorgeous decorative trees, and a new environment (but we don't know what kind of environment!)

I think this has something to do with tides. I hope it’s an expansion of the farm. I really need an additional farm space.

Doesn't Willy imply he gets his rods from somewhere other than sdv, it could either be a silver or chrome rod, maybe earned from freindship, or maybe just bought!

Oh, what it is and how you get it... I'm not discounting anything. I'm just saying that it doesn't necessarily mean new ores going in.

And honestly, lots of folk that sell stuff around town imply they get goods/supplies from outside. That goes double for the Traveling Cart.

Farm-animal ducks in the water could also mean that they're able to eat water-plants or something. That'd be interesting.

I wonder if they'd get a chance to go outside and be confused by ice on the pond? The videos I've seen of that (from places where winter goes below freezing) are always funny.

That could be. It wouldn't surprise me if CA decided to divide lures into two categories: Hooks and Tackle. Other potential ways a new rod could be better would be to add a bonus to the Fishing skill, grant a bonus to your maximum distance (would help reach those far out frenzy spots), or that gives you a small chance to catch multiple fish at once like Wild Bait does. I guess we'll just have to wait for 1.5 to find out.
