iOS My character will only fish! help!

I left the Ice Festival before the fishing contest was over because I hate fishing, and now my character will only fish, even when I remove the rod from my inventory. She won’t use the other tools even when they’re highlighted. I’m new to the game and don’t know what to do and I need help!

I've seen this before, so you could probably search the forum for the same bug. But I'm pretty sure the solution was just to exit the game and reopen
