My adopted pet disappeared:(

I just adopted a cat from Marnie's store, but suddenly at the next time I open the game, it was disappeared is it only me?
I wanna buy it again but Im too scared that same thing will happen again (its expensive anw for me as a tight farmer)

What do you mean by "it disappeared": you can't find it on your farm (or in your farmhouse if you did not bind an additional pet bowl for it yet)? Or is it not even mentioned in the pets tab in your inventory?

Cats love to lurk somewhere.
Walk around to scour your farm, your cat will be there waiting for you.

To make sure for a fact your cat didn't bug out, you can wait for a rainy day and check around your house for your kitty. I don't believe pets go outside when it's raining, usually.

You can also wait until night, the pets teleport back in during the night.
