It was probably me. It's not just on the forums, too. All my friends are sick of me talking about the muppets.

I've been using this name for only a few decades now and there've been maybe 5 people who mentioned knowing who Lew was. More might vaguely remember the character with the fish hitting Mr. The Frog upside the head at inopportune times, but never knew the name.
