More solar essence monsters

Solar essence is more useful than void essence, but void essence is easier to get. I think monsters dropped solar essence need to be added and reduce void essence monsters.
By the way, I often can't make mega bomb because lacking essence. Can you replace them with coal? Other two bombs are made of ore and coal.

I wouldn't want the number of void essence dropping monsters to be reduced. I wouldn't say "no" to adding an additional monster that drops solar essence though. More monsters is always fun.

You can also buy bombs from the dwarf or trade for them with the desert trader.

Also the fact that they're the rarest bombs make them more valuable. You can make other bombs pretty cheaply

Replying for the updates.

They drop from a load of monsters:
Metal heads/Dangerous metal heads
Hot heads (in the volcano)
Squid kids/Dangerous squid kids
The squid monsters
Iridium bats
Mummies (probably the best way to farm them)
Ghosts
Haunted skulls

That's a lot of different monsters, of which only the squid kids being of any particular rarity.
You can also buy them from krobus and from sunfish fish ponds I think

On top of that, none of the recipes using it are really bulk craft recipes (bar maybe bombs and everyone is just buying them later on anyway)

So I honestly think it's pretty balanced
I agree that Solar Essence is more useful, but Void Essence is easier to obtain. Adding more monsters that drop Solar Essence while reducing Void Essence drops could balance things better. Also, replacing Solar Essence with coal in Mega Bomb recipes makes sense since other bombs use ore and coal. iridium bats are in level 51+. And mummy need enchant or bomb to kill. Other monsters are less common than void essence monsters.
I have an idea make mummies drop essence after first beat, and never drop after reviving.

Which isn't exactly hard to get to

Nor is getting a basic bomb to kill mummies, and you can kill clusters with a single bomb, it's not really a one for one thing

And sure other monsters are a little harder to get than the void counterparts but that's an issue with spawning, not an issue needing more monsters to have solar essence in their loot tables when there are a good many that already do
